Rota Flow Meter –
The Rota Flow meter is an industrial flow meter used to measure the flow rate of liquids and gases. The Rota Flow meter consists of a tube and float. The float response to flow rate changes is linear, and a 10-to-1 flow range or turndown is standard. The Rota Flow meter is popular because it has a linear scale, a relatively long measurement range, and low-pressure drop. It is simple to install and maintain.

A Rota Flow meter requires no external power or fuel, it uses only the inherent properties of the fluid, along with gravity, to measure flow rate.
A Rota Flow Meter is also a relatively simple device that can be mass-manufactured out of cheap materials, allowing for its widespread use.
Since the area of the flow passage increases as the float moves up the tube, the scale is approximately linear.
Clear glass is used which is highly resistant to thermal shock and chemical action.
